Gerard John aka Slatta is an acclaimed artist from the island of Carriacou; Sister Isle Of Grenada. He grew up in the village of Mt. Royal. One of the leading artists in the ragga soca movement, Trinidadian soca superstar Bunji Garlin is also one of the genre's few crossover artists, having made an impact internationally with Major Lazer, the Soul Train Awards, and even the television show Greys Anatomy all in the mix. Born Ian Anthony Alvarez in Sangre Grande, Trinidad, he got his stage name from the bungee cord (which is flexible) and Garlin (a type of gun). He kicked off his career just as a dancehall-influenced strain of soca music was taking hold. Known as ragga soca, the aggressive digital genre fueled Garlin's 2000 debut, The Chronicles, a thoroughly modern album which also featured soca legend Alison Hinds. Erphaan Alves is a young rising Trinidadian Artiste. The singer/songwriter’s claim to fame came in 2012 when he successfully qualified as a finalist in both Groovy and International Power Soca Monarch Finals with the songs "In your Eyes" and "Terrible". Erphaan was awarded Best New Male Soca Artist in the International Soca Awards 2012 and he was also an MTV IGGY Artiste of The Week that year. He wrote songs for some of the top Soca Artist in the world, for example, "Precision Wine" by Kes The Band, and "Make You Rock" by Machel Montano. Erphaan managed to consistenly make waves being a finalist in the International Soca Monarch 2014 and 2015. His song, "On D Spot" was once featured on an MTV Real World Episode in 2012. Yearwood was born in Trinidad to Edward Yearwood, a well-known composer and mother Mairoon Ali, a Trinidadian actress, radio personality and teacher. He established himself as a Soca talent early on when he entered and won multiple talent shows while still in his teens, including the national Junior Calypso Monarch competition. His shot to global fame when he won Trinidad's famous Soca Groovy Monarch/International Soca Monarch in 2015, performing his blockbuster single "Ola." He is the very last International Groovy Soca Monarch champion, as the competition's format was changed in 2016 to exclude that category.
At an early age Edwin found interest in music, when he use to be around friends listening to dancehall artiste vybz kartel. But jus a few years later after been exposed to local acts such as ninja dan,rickyt and ashanti just to name a few he fell in love with soca music to point that he (edwin) was nicknamed the socatrain. My first single was in 2013 ping lol, edwin followed up with the tet-show remix/reply, edwin was part of the 2013 piton soca stars finalist.
Problem Child, whom you may also know as Johnny Fontainne aka Vincy Bad Boy, was born on the beautiful island of St. Vincent. He spent his early years growing up in St.Vincent then migrated over to the most populous borough of New York City, Brooklyn, which led him to absorb the Hip Hop and Dancehall culture. While Mr. Fontainne kept his Vincy culture close to his heart, including his love for Soca music, his upbringing resulted in an integration of both the Caribbean and American cultures in his music. This fusion is what makes Problem Child so unique, and allows him to stand out amongst the best in the industry. His hard work and creativity in the studio is demonstrated with each track he releases.

Voice A San Juan, Trinidad native, Aaron ‘Voice’ St. Louis, shot to fame in Trinidad and Tobago when he unleashed a song called, ‘Cheers To Life’ in 2016. It certainly became the anthem of Carnival and earned him the Soca Monarch title- making him the youngest entertainer to ever win the title.
Born November 24, 1974 in Port of Spain Trinidad, Machel Montano was destined to be great. Through his ever-evolving musical offerings, Machel works on his mission of depositing soca into the domain of mainstream music. Machel’s career began in 1982 at age seven; at age nine he formed his band, Pranasonic Express. Montano’s debut album “Too Young To Soca”, released in 1985, was an instant hit which earned rave reviews and standing ovations at live performances. In April of 1986, the young performer appeared on the popular television show, Star Search, bringing soca music to US national television. The next year, Machel took 2nd place in the Trinidad & Tobago National Song Writer’s Festival with his song, “Dream Girl.” In 1987, at the age of 12, he was the winner of the Caribbean Song Festival held in Barbados. He was the first Trinidadian and youngest to ever win this prestigious contest.
